Rétromobile 2027 | Volvo: 100 Years of Automotive Innovation
Volvo’s centenary year begins in style at Rétromobile in Paris. One of Europe’s leading classic car shows will dedicate a special exhibition to 100 years of Volvo, tracing the company’s journey from its beginnings in Gothenburg in 1927 to becoming one of the world’s most distinctive car manufacturers.
Around a dozen landmark cars are expected to tell the story, including the pioneering ÖV4 “Jakob”, the PV655, Duett, Amazon and Volvo 240, as well as the famous Volvo 1800S driven for more than three million miles by Irv Gordon. Volvo Car France has described Rétromobile as the opening of its official centenary celebrations, making Paris one of the first major destinations of Volvo’s 100th anniversary year.
