A global, independent documentary project celebrating 100 years of Volvo.
“100 Stories · 100 Years of Volvo” is an independent documentary project dedicated to the people who love these cars. To mark Volvo’s 100th anniversary in 2027, we are collecting and curating the stories of 100 owners of classic to modern Volvo models from around the world.
Our stories may well be about Swedish cars, but above all they’re about the people behind them. What defines a Volvo person? It’s about that first car, adventurous road trips, family stories, daily commutes, painstaking restorations, embarrassing breakdowns and everything in between. It doesn’t matter how rare the car is. What matters is why it means so much to the person driving it.
The project brings together stories from different countries, generations and backgrounds. Despite their differences, they paint a divers picture of a hundred years of Volvo, told from the driver’s perspective. To answer the question: What makes a Volvo person?
All 100 stories will be carefully selected and published – one story at a time. And we’ll still have plenty to tell even after the anniversary year is over.
