The weekend after Volvo turns 100, British enthusiasts will gather at one of the country’s most important automotive museums to celebrate. The Volvo Enthusiasts Club is organising a special Volvo 100th Birthday Celebration at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, just four days after the anniversary of the first Volvo leaving the factory on 14 April 1927.

The setting could hardly be more appropriate: a museum dedicated to preserving automotive history filled, for the day, with Volvos representing different chapters of the Swedish marque’s own story. Rather than focusing on a single model or era, the gathering offers enthusiasts an opportunity to celebrate Volvo as a whole – the cars, their history and, most importantly, the community that has grown around them over the past century.
