100 Years of Volvo at Retro Classics Essen
Volvo’s 100th birthday falls right in the middle of Retro Classics Essen 2027, making the classic car show a fitting place to celebrate a century of Swedish automotive history.
The Volvo Club Deutschland e.V. will mark the anniversary with a special exhibition in Club Hall 5, bringing together selected vehicles from different eras of Volvo’s history. From the early PV models, known as “Humpbacks”, to the elegant P1800 ES, nicknamed “Snow White’s Coffin”, the display will highlight the variety of cars that have shaped the Swedish marque over the decades.
Visitors can explore Volvo’s heritage, meet fellow enthusiasts and celebrate the centenary together with one of Germany’s established Volvo clubs – on the very days that Volvo turns 100.
