240 Dagen Karlshamn

Every summer, the Swedish coastal town of Karlshamn becomes a meeting place for enthusiasts of one of Volvo’s most iconic models: the Volvo 240. Held at Östra Piren, the 240-Dagen brings together owners and fans of the Volvo 200 Series, from original survivors and daily drivers to carefully restored and modified cars.

The event has a special history. It was founded following a promise made to a Norwegian Volvo enthusiast who was terminally ill, with the aim of bringing Volvo 240 owners together while raising money for children’s cancer research.

Previous editions have featured live music, refreshments, special guests and awards for participating cars. During Volvo’s centenary year in 2027, the gathering would offer a fitting opportunity to celebrate the model that became one of the Swedish manufacturer’s best-known classics.
